It is a way for the artist to express inner creativity in a practical yet whimsical way.”

    The leather industry generates in Brazil an average of 343 thousand tons of residue every year; and most part of it isn't processed adequally and doesn't reach the repurpose centers. When we understood this, we believed that giving a propper use for all this leather that would end up in landfills is a way to help the enviroment.

    Starting with this concept, we began to think about all we could design and produce with the leather scraps. The possibilities are endless, and we are just scrapping the surface.

    That's why here at TheHang all our process is manual: starting with choosing the leather with our partners that supply us with scraps from shoes and handbags factories; our projects and design that aims to make the best use of the leather surface and the manufacture and finishing touches of every piece.

    Each handbag and accessory is the result of carefull work, with the conscience of being enviromental friendly and to spread out new consume concepts.
